Wiscnet Network Access Service

The “Recurring Annual Cost for Internet Access” will provide all Internet Access service up to the limit of any Internet transport capacity in service at your site during the contract term reflected on your E-rate quote (you likely now have Internet transport capacity provided by a vendor such as: Charter, Time Warner Cable, AT&T). For example, if your Internet transport capacity is 100Mbps, WiscNet will provide 100Mbps Internet access service; if it is 500Mbps, WiscNet will provide 500Mbps; if it is 1Gbps, WiscNet will provide 1Gbps; if it is greater than 1Gbps WiscNet will provide internet access service up to the capacity of your Internet transport.

WiscNet - Owned Cisco ASR920 Router

One-time fee for WiscNet-owned &-managed Cisco ASR-920-4SZ Aggregation Services Router, with dual power supplies, two 1G copper ports and four dual-rate ports (1G/10G); IOS XE Metro IP Access. Please note: This router supports internet transport capacity up to 10 Gb. The purchasing of this item is optional upon signing of the quote. This router has been included on your quote due to a comparison of the network equipment you are currently using and the bandwidth you have requested in your Form 470.

WiscNet 10G Port Fee

One-time fee to connect a 10G capable network connection.

WiscNet Network Access Components

One-time fee for components necessary to complete member connection. The price quoted is a not-to-exceed price, the actual price of needed components may be lower than quoted.

WiscNet Remote Site Service

This service provides a WiscNet-managed network access service to a WiscNet Member’s location that is not located within the Member’s primary campus and not served by the Member’s wide-area internal data network. The “Recurring Annual Cost for Remote Site Service” will provide all Internet Access service up to the limit of any Internet transport capacity in service at your site during the contract term reflected on your E-rate quote (you likely now have Internet transport capacity provided by a vendor such as: TEACH/BadgerNet, Charter, Time Warner Cable, AT&T). For example, if your Internet transport capacity is 100Mbps, WiscNet will provide 100Mbps Internet access service; if it is 500Mbps, WiscNet will provide 500Mbps; if it is 1Gbps, WiscNet will provide 1Gbps; if it is greater than 1Gbps WiscNet will provide internet access service up to the capacity of your Internet transport.

WiscNet Connect K12 +1 Service

This transport service provides to a WiscNet Member a WiscNet-contracted transport service that connects the Member’s facilities to the WiscNet network and provides additional capacity.

WiscNet Contracted Circuit Service

This transport service provides to a WiscNet Member a WiscNet-contracted transport service that connects the Member’s facilities to the WiscNet network.

WiscNet - Owned End to End Lit Fiber Service

This transport service provides to a WiscNet Member (1) internet transport across Member’s existing dark fiber and a non-diverse path on WiscNet-owned long haul fiber to (2) a port on a WiscNet backbone network aggregation device capable of providing the WiscNet Network Access Service

WiscNet - Owned Dark Fiber Service

This transport service leases annually to a WiscNet member a defined capacity and span of WiscNet-owned dark fiber-optic facilities located in the WiscNet backbone network, typically for use as a data transport service.

WiscNet Lit Fiber Access Service


WiscNet Community End to End Lit Fiber Service

This transport service provides to a WiscNet Member (1) internet transport across a participating community area network’s optical fiber data facility to (2) a port on a WiscNet backbone network aggregation device capable of providing the WiscNet Network Access Service

WiscNet Maintenance and Operations Service

This service provides to a WiscNet Member the fiber maintenance and operations services required to participate in a community area network’s fiber optic data facility.

WiscNet CAN Aggregation Service

WiscNet provides a managed, standards-based device that aggregates network traffic on the Community Area Network (“CAN aggregation device”), provides transport for the network traffic from WiscNet members to a WiscNet Backbone Device and provides Ethernet connectivity via the CAN Aggregation Device to and from the CAN’s WiscNet members.

WiscNet Network Access with Basic Integrated Firewall Service

The “Recurring Annual Cost for Internet Access” will provide all Internet access service up to the limit of any Internet transport capacity in service at your site during the contract term reflected on your E-rate quote (you likely now have Internet transport capacity provided by a vendor such as: TEACH/BadgerNet, Charter, Time Warner Cable, AT&T). For example, if your Internet transport capacity is 100Mbps, WiscNet will provide 100Mbps Internet access service; if it is 500Mbps, WiscNet will provide 500Mbps; if it is 1Gbps, WiscNet will provide 1Gbps; if it is greater than 1Gbps WiscNet will provide internet access service up to the capacity of your Internet transport. This service includes basic integrated firewall at either 1G or 10G capabilities.
